Previews

Previews are standalone HTML pages that are used to display a certain Bits on the Run player. Previews are useful for quickly sending out certain videos to friends or clients without having to embed a player in your website. For example, you could email a preview link to your client if you need approval on a final edit.

Scheme

Previews are requested with the key of the video/channel and the key of the player used to display the video/channel.

Parameters

Previews act as a wrapper for players, so all parameters are exactly the same.

Compatibility

Note all preview pages contain so-called OpenGraph headers. This ensures that, when sharing a preview page on Facebook, the video itself is actually appearing on your wall.

DNS Masking

The domain name used for requesting a preview will be propagated in the return. This means the link to the player embed code inside the preview will contain that same domain name and not content.bitsontherun.com.
