These calls can be used to create, manage (both styling and behaviour) and removed players. Players are the “chrome” around your video. Use them to embed your videos or playlists in a website.
Under water, we of course use our own JW Player. Every player inside Bits on the Run is basically a list of settings (flashvars) for a specific configuration of the JW Player.
Bits on the Run has a dedicated setting for every widely used setting (flashvar) of the JW Player. However, the JW Player supports a wide range of configuration settings, mostly because of its extensive addons model. These settings can still be inserted in Bits on the Run players, by leveraging the custom.param field in this players API class.
It is also possible to insert custom flashvars in your HTML instead of through the API. Our Content Server offers a small flashvars API for that.
